What is your earliest fitness memory? Picking daises in the outfield of a t-ball game.
Who is your fitness inspiration, and why? Jill Miller – she influences both the yoga space and the fitness space and has developed a program that helps others live better in their bodies. As one of her instructors, so much of what she does is to support us as teachers and a community.
What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishment so far? Creating a sustainable income for myself in the fitness industry in 3 years, post-college.
If you could go back in time to your first year of teaching and give yourself advice, what would you say? Relax, every day is an opportunity to learn something new… you don’t need to know it all now!
What’s your go-to motivational cue? I don’t have a specific cue, but I aspire to help my clients sense themselves better. When they realize that they have created change, overcome pain, or done something they previously thought was not possible – I want them to notice it and be proud!
What fitness goals would you like to pursue? I want to do a strict pull up by this time next year!
What legacy would you like to leave on this industry? To help people reclaim their bodies and tissues as their own. Far too often we give up control to partners, family members, children, teachers or doctors. I hope to give people the tools to not only live better in their bodies, but to have the knowledge and confidence to take their health and body back in control.
